Sandra Eastwood lives and works in Teddington, England. She uses clay as the medium of choice to induce music, mathematics and balance through colour and form.
Her work is hand built and fired to stoneware temperatures, using layers of coloured engobes, which she has devised over the years.
She uses a small canon of glazes, mostly Barium based in an oxidised firing, but also occasionally fires in a reduction kiln. The work can also include lustres and burnished gold.
Her work is time consuming, but she feels that her specific style would not be achieved through automated or mass production. Her work is in collections worldwide.
